  22. Looking in the INIT's - cdev's folder in the ASTEC Files icon, shows the same basic arrangement, but in this case we're only seeing 12 icons, to allow space for window tiling. The ‚Ä¢ Earlier Files ‚Ä¢ folder name is used in many file areas.

The view for ‚Ä¢ Earlier Files ‚Ä¢ folders is set to "By Name" and the number of files per folder are limited to about 25-30 files. This helps provide a faster response to the caller, since they are not waiting for a large number of files to be listed before they can do something. At 2400 bps the response is considered very fast. At 14,400 bps screen updates are almost immediate. Each successive folder level contains older files. This means we're spending time moving files down through folder levels to maintain the 25-30 files/folder arrangement, but the end result benefits the user.
